Gerald Aleman

Mr. Aleman has 15 years of oil and gas production experience. He most recently held the position of Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator with Enterra Energy Trust. Prior to this, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in production with Jed Oil Inc., EnCana and Crestar Energy Inc.

Community Affairs Representative
Mr. Anderson has been a licensed surface land agent for nine years and has been involved with surveying, wellsite reclamation and pipeline leak detection for an additional four years. Before joining Galleon in 2008, Mr. Anderson spend three years with Burlington Resources Canada Ltd. working in the Rocky Mountain House, Drayton Valley, Edson, Ft. McMurray and Grande Cache areas of Alberta. He managed acquisition programs exceeding 200 wells per year. Mr. Anderson has experience acquiring surface land for sour gas, sweet gas, both sweet and sour oil and oilsands. His background includes dispute resolution and conflict management. Prior to working full-time for Burlington, he consulted for five years for major, intermediate and junior oil and gas companies throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Mr. Anderson is a member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen (CAPL,) International Right of Way Association and sits on the CAPL Field Acquisition and Management Committee. He was involved in the creation of a new professional designation for surface land agents through CAPL called PSL.
Mr. Anderson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Geography from the University of Calgary and he is a Certified Arbitrator.
Sandro Cardoch, B.Sc. Eng.
Manager, Facilities Engineering
Mr. Cardoch is a professional engineer from Chile with 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as a facilities engineer. Throughout this time, Mr. Cardoch held positions of increasing responsibility as a project engineer and project manager, completing engineering design work and construction management of multiple oil and gas processing facilities domestically and internationally. Sandro has been employed with Galleon since May 2008. Prior to that, he worked as a consulting engineer, providing engineering support for the mining industry.
Mr. Cardoch holds an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technologist degree and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Chile and is currently pursuing a Masters in Chemical Engineering at the University of Calgary.
John A. Brussa, B.A., LL.B.
Director
Mr. Brussa has been a partner at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP since 1987 and is presently the head of its tax department. Mr. Brussa practices tax law and is a former Governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation. Mr. Brussa is the director of a number of private and public companies in businesses which include exploration and production, petroleum technology, manufacturing and natural gas marketing.
Mr. Brussa is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor.
Glenn R. Carley, B.A., LL.B., MBA, ICD.D
Executive Chairman and Director
Mr. Carley has been involved in the oil and natural gas business for the past 31 years. He was a co-founder of Galleon Energy Inc. He is a Director and Chairman of Culane Energy Corp. and a Director of Painted Pony Petroleum Ltd. Mr. Carley was co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Magin Energy Inc., a public oil and gas exploration and production company that was listed on the TSX from January 1994 to June 2001 when it was sold. Magin was a TSE 300 company prior to its sale. From 1988 to 1994, Mr. Carley was the Vice President and Secretary of Wascana Energy Inc. (formerly Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Corporation), a public oil and gas exploration and production corporation then based in Regina, Saskatchewan that traded on the TSX and the Montreal Stock Exchange. Prior thereto, Mr. Carley was with Mark Resources Inc., and Canadian Roxy Petroleum Ltd.
Mr. Carley holds a Master of Business Administration degree, a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree, all from the University of Saskatchewan. Mr. Carley is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
William L. Cooke, B.A., B.S.W., MBA
Director
Bill Cooke is the former president and CEO of MD Private Trust Company, and MD Private Investment Management Inc. These wholly owned subsidiaries of the Canadian Medical Association provide investment management and trust services to their physician members. Prior to MD, Mr. Cooke was an executive with the Royal Bank and Royal Trust in their investment, trust and wealth management areas. He started his career in the Saskatchewan government and served in Finance, the Crown Corporation SGI, and various program delivery departments.
Mr. Cooke is a director of Galleon Energy Inc (TSX:GO), an oil and gas exploration company in Alberta; Hanwei Energy Services Inc (TSX:HE), a China-based manufacturing company; Coast Capital Savings, a B.C. credit union; and a governor of Okanagan College in Kelowna. Previously he was a director of Magin Energy Inc., and several private companies, including MD Private Trust, MD Private Investment Management, MD Management and Lancet Investment Management Inc. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Medical Foundation, the advisory Board of Vancouver College and the Boards of not-for-profit organizations.
Mr. Cooke resides in the Magna Bay, BC.
Shivon M. Crabtree, B.Admin., CMA
Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Crabtree has over 28 years of oil and gas accounting and financing experience. Ms. Crabtree was the Vice President, Finance of Culane Energy Corp., a public oil and gas company, from December 2002 to August 2007. She was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of High Point Resources Inc., a public oil and gas company from December 2001 to March 2004.
Ms Crabtree was the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Magin Energy Inc. from June 1996 to June 2001. Prior thereto, Ms. Crabtree was employed at Wascana Energy Inc. from 1988 to 1996, during which time she held a variety of progressively more responsible positions. Ms. Crabtree is a Certified Management Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Regina.
Lawrence Fenwick, B.Sc.
Director
Mr. Fenwick is an independent businessman located in Calgary Alberta with over 40 years of association with the oil and natural gas business. He was directly employed full time in the oil and natural gas industry for more than 37 years prior to retiring from EOG Resources Canada Inc. in March of 2007. Mr. Fenwick directed EOG Resources Canada Inc. as Senior Vice President and General Manager from 1991 to 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Fenwick held various executive and management positions at EOG Resources Canada Inc, Canterra Energy Ltd. and CDC Oil and Gas Limited, where he was responsible for production, engineering and hydrocarbon marketing.
Mr. Fenwick is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Daryl Gilbert, B.Sc., P.Eng.
Director
Mr. Gilbert has been active in the Western Canadian oil and natural gas sector for more than 30 years. From 1979 to 2005 he worked in reserves evaluation with Gilbert Laustsen Jung Associates Ltd., now GLJ Petroleum Consultants Ltd. (“GLJ”), an engineering consulting firm. Mr. Gilbert served as President and Chief Executive Officer of GLJ from 1994 to 2005. Since 2005, he has been an independent businessman and investor and serves as a Director for a number of public and private entities.
Mr. Gilbert is a graduate of the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta.
Keith Gordon, B.Sc., P.Geol.
Manager, Geology
Mr. Gordon is a professional geologist with 15 years of exploration and development experience both domestically and internationally. He has been employed with the corporation since September 2005 as a senior geologist. Prior to that, he worked on numerous assets throughout Talisman Energy Inc. including an overseas assignment for four years in Aberdeen, Scotland.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Alberta and is a Registered Professional Geologist in the Province of Alberta
Jeff Heim, B.Sc P. Eng
Manager, Acquisition and Divestitures
Mr. Heim is a professional engineer with 18 years of exploitation, operations, business development and acquisition experience. He has been employed with the corporation since December 2009. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility with One Exploration Inc., Advantage Energy Income Fund, Search Energy Corporation. and Intensity
Resources Ltd.
Mr. Heim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta.
Jim Iverson, B.Sc., P.Geol.
Vice President, Exploration East
Mr. Iverson is a professional geologist with 28 years of diversified industry experience in Western Canada. Mr. Iverson has a proven track record of discovering oil and gas pools mainly in the Peace River Arch and Central Alberta areas. He has held positions of increasing responsibility at Baytex Energy Ltd., Hadrian Energy Corp., Wascana Energy Inc., Alberta Energy Oil and Gas Company Ltd. and Chieftain Development Company Ltd. Mr. Iverson holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Geology from the University of Alberta, and is a Registered Professional Geologist in the Province of Alberta.
Dale Lebsack
Manager, Construction
Dale Lebsack has 40 years of facility and pipeline construction experience. He has Journeyman Trade Tickets in Welding, Pipefitting and Gas Fitting. He also has one year of overseas experience in Libya working as a Pipeline Maintenance Inspector.
Mr.Lebsack was a Facilities and Pipeline Consultant for 15 years with Renaissance Energy Ltd. before moving into the Calgary office as the Construction Coordinator. He has held positions with Focus Energy Trust as Construction Superintendent and Facilities and Pipeline Construction Manager with Profico Energy Management Ltd.
Jim McFadyen, M.E.T.
Manager, Production Optimization
Mr. McFadyen has 15 years of completions and production operations experience, several years of which were focused on production optimization and failure analysis. He most recently held the position of Senior Engineering Technologist with Fairborne Energy Ltd. where he was primarily responsible for production operations in the Brazeau area and unconventional gas completions. Prior to this, he was self-employed as a completions consultant and held positions with Husky Energy Inc. and Renaissance Energy Ltd.
He holds a diploma as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Gary McMurren, B.Sc., P. Eng.
Manager, Exploitation
Mr. McMurren is a professional engineer with 10 years of exploitation, production, operations, completions and acquisition experience. He has been employed with the corporation since June 2006 as a senior engineer. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility with ARC Resources Ltd. and Talisman Energy Inc.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with distinction from the University of Alberta and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Brad R. Munro, B.Comm.
Director
Mr. Munro is President and Chief Executive Officer of Bittercreek Capital Corp., a private investment and advisory firm, since May 1, 2006. Prior to this, Mr. Munro was Vice President, Investments of GrowthWorks Capital Ltd. and its affiliates, and manager of GrowthWorks Canadian Fund Inc. Mr. Munro had been employed with GrowthWorks and its affiliates since September 1991. Mr. Munro continues to fill the position of Vice President, Investments for GrowthWorks Capital Ltd. through a contractual agreement. Mr. Munro has been actively serving as a Director on the Boards of 20 private and public companies since 1991. Presently, Mr. Munro serves on the Boards of four private and five public companies including the role of Lead Director for CCS Income Trust and Bonnett’s Energy Services Trust. Munro also serves on the Board of Fairmount Energy Inc. Mr. Munro holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Grant Olson
Manager, Production
Grant Olson has 25 years of oil and gas production as well as optimization and facility operations experience. He has most recently held the position of Production Foreman for Southern Alberta with Viking Energy Trust. Prior to this, he has held positions of increasing responsibility at KeyWest Energy, Husky Energy Inc. and Renaissance Energy Ltd.
Dale Orton, B.Eng., P.Eng.
Vice President, Engineering & Corporate Development
Mr. Orton is a professional engineer with 15 years of exploitation, production, operations, business development and acquisition experience. He has been employed with the corporation since July of 2005. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility with Flowing Energy Corporation, KeyWest Energy Corporation, Velvet Exploration Ltd. and Renaissance Energy Ltd.
Mr. Orton holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree with distinction from the University of Victoria and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Carolee Pearce, B.Comm.
Manager, Financial Accounting
Ms. Pearce has over 12 years of industry experience broadly distributed across finance and accounting functions, at escalating levels of seniority. Ms. Pearce has previously proven herself proficient in the organization of accounting systems and processes in early stage, growing oil and gas companies, including Magin Energy Inc. She has also taken on integral supervisory roles in an operational environment and has been instrumental in successful acquisition efforts. Ms. Pearce held positions of increasing responsibility at NCE Petrofund Corp., Magin Energy Inc., Gronarctic Energy Inc. and Amerada Hess Corporation. Ms. Pearce holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
Steve Sugianto, B.Sc., M.Sc., P.Eng.
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
Mr. Sugianto has been involved in the oil and natural gas business for the past 24 years. Mr. Sugianto was the Vice President, Engineering and Corporate Development of KeyWest Energy Corporation, a public oil and gas company that was listed on the TSX which reached 8,800 boe/d of production and was sold in 2003. Prior thereto, Mr. Sugianto held positions of increasing responsibility at Remington Energy Ltd., HCO Energy Ltd., DeKalb Energy Canada Ltd., Wascana Energy Inc. and Esso/Imperial Oil Ltd.
Mr. Sugianto is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta. Mr. Sugianto holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and a Masters degree in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary.
Devin Sundstrom, B.Sc., P. Eng.
Vice President, Production
Mr. Sundstrom is a professional engineer with 15 years of drilling and completion, exploitation, production operations and acquisition experience. He has been with Galleon since August 2004. Prior to joining Galleon, he has held positions with increasing responsibility at Hunt Oil Company, Renaissance Energy Ltd. and Northstar Energy Corporation.
Mr. Sundstrom holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering degree from the University of Calgary and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta.
Chris Tibbles, B.Comm., PLM
Vice President, Land
Mr. Tibbles brings over 11 years of oil and gas experience to Galleon, specializing in land and acquisition negotiations. He has been with Galleon since June of 2005. Prior to joining Galleon, he held positions with increasing responsibility at Pan Canadian Petroleum and EnCana Corporation.
Mr. Tibbles holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is an active member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Bill Wee, M.Eng., P.Eng.
Vice President, Operations
Mr. Wee is responsible for surface land, drilling, completions, facilities and joint ventures.
Mr. Wee is a professional engineer with 26 years of oil and gas experience in reservoir, exploration and production engineering, drilling, completions, field operations, joint ventures, marketing and acquisitions. Prior to Galleon, Mr. Wee was the Vice President, Engineering for Temple Energy Inc., a private oil and gas exploration company. He has also held managerial and technical positions for Rio Alto Exploration, Ulster Petroleums, Wascana Energy, Husky Oil and Koch Exploration.
Mr. Wee holds Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering degrees from the University of Calgary. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta, and has served as a part-time instructor for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and Mount Royal College in their continuing education program.
Andy Williamson, B.Sc., P.Geoph.
Manager, Geophysics
Mr. Williamson is a Professional Geophysicist with 24 years of expertise in all aspects of geophysics pertaining to oil and gas exploration and development, both domestically and internationally. He has been employed with the corporation since April 2007. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility at EnCana, Boyd Exploration Consultants and Western Geophysical.
Mr. Williamson holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geological Engineering (Geophysics) from Queen's University, and is a Registered Professional Geophysicist in the Province of Alberta.
